SOUTHERN MADE CO. / BUILT IN TASMANIA

Terms of Sale

Considered details, honest craftsmanship and a practical approach to every project.

Ordering and quotations

Southern Made Co. is an Australian-registered business name used by a Tasmanian sole trader for furniture, timber, steelwork and custom joinery. This page provides general trading terms for website enquiries and orders. Your accepted written quote may contain additional job-specific terms.

Project images and availability

Our website includes photographs of previous work. They show our capabilities and are not a guarantee that the exact item is currently in stock. Many pieces are made to order, and timber grain, finishes and dimensions can vary according to the agreed specifications.

Quotes and approval

An enquiry is not an order. Quotes are based on the agreed details, including dimensions, materials, finish, quantity, site conditions, delivery or installation, and exclusions. We confirm pricing, expected production times, payment stages and the validity period in writing. Work starts only when we accept the order and any agreed commencement payment has been received.

Deposits and payments

Any deposit, instalment, final balance or payment deadline will be shown in the written quote or invoice before acceptance. We may issue invoices via Xero and accept approved online payment methods. A deposit is credited toward the agreed purchase price. If a job is cancelled or varied, any fees or retained deposit amounts must be reasonable and lawful having regard to work completed, actual commitments and your statutory rights.

Variations

If you request a variation, we will discuss the cost and time implications and seek agreement before carrying out additional work. Material substitutions or significant changes to the agreed scope are not made without appropriate discussion.

Delivery and installation

Delivery, collection and installation are provided only as stated in the agreed order or quote. See our Delivery & Collection information for details. Please disclose relevant access constraints before booking.

Australian Consumer Law

Our products and services are subject to the consumer guarantees and other protections provided by the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms restricts non-excludable rights, including rights concerning faulty goods, defective workmanship, delays and misleading representations.

Privacy and contact

Personal information is handled in accordance with the website's Privacy Policy. Contact us through the contact form about any quotation, project or sale.
